Preview at Arlington's New Cultural Center One Year before it Opens on 10/10/10

ARLINGTON'S new cultural center threw a preview party last Saturday evening, October 10, in the middle of Rosslyn, to celebrate the one-year mark before its planned grand opening next year on 10/10/10. The cultural center will be on the first few floors of the old Newseum building at 1101 Wilson Blvd. in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, right across the Key Bridge from Georgetown, D.C.
AMONG THE SEVERAL artists who presented "Creative Briefs" at the party were: Synetic Theater, Washington Shakespeare Company, Anthology of Booty DJ Crew, Hoop Dance, X Live Design Competition, Rosebud Film & Video Festival, Los Quetzales Mexican Dance Ensemble, Video Art Curator Amelia Winger-Bearskin, Visual Artists Brandon Morse, Kathryn Cornelius, Robin Bell, Alexandra Zealand and Henrik Sundqvist (www.henriksundqvist.com). The Pink Line Project, Vitamin Water and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association were among the sponsors of the event.
