THE SWEDISH American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) DC chapter celebrated the Christmas season with its annual Christmas party Thursday evening, December 3, at the House of Sweden in Washington, D.C.

THE FESTIVITIES included traditional Swedish "julbord" food, like meatballs, smoked salmon, herring and Jansson's Temptation. The evening was capped off with a procession led by a Santa Lucia girl with lit candles on her head and with a group of similarly dressed attendants singing Swedish Christmas carols. Guests included Per Unckel, county governor of the Stockholm area; the Swedish ambassador Jonas Hafström and his wife Eva; former U.S. ambassador to Sweden Thomas Siebert; and Gunilla Girardo, president of SACC-USA.
