A "SANTA LUCIA AFTER DARK" party was held at the House of Sweden in Washington on Saturday evening, December 12, to celebrate the Swedish Santa Lucia tradition. The sold-out event featured delicious food by Chef Martin Johansson, dance music and a Santa Lucia procession.

MARTIN JOHANSSON worked with his famous Swedish colleague Marcus Samuelsson, from the restaurants Aquavit and C-House in New York, and White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford and her team, on the menu at President Barack Obama's and First Lady Michelle Obama's first state dinner for the Indian Prime minister Manmohan Singh a few weeks ago.
