VIDEO ART, art installations, performance art, a Sake Haiku Bar, Marshmallow Arts, An Art Maze, free bruises and the Make Out Room were all part of the Cherry Blast party at Security Storage warehouse on Florida Avenue in Northwest Washington on a nice and warm Friday night, April 2.
THE MULTI-MEDIA and arts festival also presented great music by Fatback DJs in the Dance Hall, DJ Chris Nitti and Matt Hemerlein in the Cherry Lounge, Maureen Andary in the Freight Elevator and DJ Gold - The Fridge DC on the Disco Loading Dock.
THIS YEAR'S Cherry Blast was presented by Westwood College, and produced by Philippa Hughes and the Pink Line Project. Among the other sponsors for this popular event were Shiseido, Wines of Argentina, OnTap and Ping Pong. It was supported in part by the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and it was an official event of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
