HEART DISEASE is the leading killer of both men and women today. Even though more men die of the disease than women, females tend to be under-diagnosed, often to the point when it is too late to help once the condition is discovered. Other diseases that are of great concern to women today are breast cancer, osteoporosis, depression and autoimmune diseases.

ON MONDAY evening, May 10, women's health was discussed at the first event in the Science Café series on health and care issues at the House of Sweden in Washington, D.C. Swedish and American speakers presented and discussed important issues when it comes to these important health topics.

I hope that in these meetings alternative treatments and preventative measures for better health would be discussed.
