“CHESAPEAKE COLOR,” a special show with artist Stephen M. D. Day, to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (www.cbf.org), opened at Susan Calloway Fine Arts in Washington on Friday evening, March 18.

IN DAY’S abstract-realist seascapes, color – and in some cases texture – are the media and the message. His work in this show focuses on the Chesapeake Bay and the abstract fusion of sky, land and water.
