SWEDISH Cultural Counselor Eva Bergquist will be the lunch speaker at a SACU (Swedish-American Cultural Union) luncheon on Monday, September 26 in Washington, D.C. The title of the program is “One year as a Cultural Counselor.”
IN HER career, Eva Bergquist has held numerous positions at the Ministry for Cultural Affairs. The last two years she was Head of the Section for Culture and the Conditions for Creators of Culture. Additionally, she has held positions within the Documentary Film Industry in Paris and in Stockholm. She has been a producer for joint ventures of the National Theatre, Dramaten, in Stockholm and the Swedish Public Television’s Drama Department.
MS. BERGQUIST is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, and has studied at the Soviet Film Academy (VGIK) as well as at the University of Stockholm.
THE SACU luncheon will be held at Pier Seven Restaurant in the Channel Inn, 650 Water Street, S.W., on the Washington waterfront, beginning at 12 noon with “no host” cocktails and concluding by 2 p.m. Member cost is $25.00, non-members $29.00.
