3rd Annual Georgetown Art Show opens at House of Sweden

THE OPENING reception for Georgetown ARTS 2012, the 3rd annual art show of The Citizens Association of Georgetown (CAG), at House of Sweden was held on Thursday evening, Feb. 16. A big crowd came to the event and exhibition, which showcases talents of Georgetown’s artists, both those who are residents and those with Georgetown studios.

THE FEATURED artists in the Arts 2012 show are Michele Banks, Jack Bell, Leslie Bryne, Betsy Cooley, Guy Fairlamb, Karen Feld, Robin Hill, Cynthia Howar, Joan Konkel, Stephany Knight, Jane Lepscky, Dale Loy, Edward “Bear” Miller, Natalia Mokina, Elba Molina, Shaun Murphy, Lisa Neher, Emma O’Rouke, Isabella Page, Wendy Plotkin-Mates, Berit Robertson, Camilla Rudolph, Ross Ruot, Suzy Strack, Laura-Anne Tiscornia, Dariush Vaziri and Mary Wagner.

HOUSE OF SWEDEN, which is the chief sponsor of the show, opened in 2006, and is the home to the Embassy of Sweden, the Embassy of Iceland, and 19 corporate offices and a commercial event center.

FOLLOWING Thursday’s opening reception, Georgetown ARTS 2012 will be open daily Friday, Feb. 17 through Monday Feb. 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. House of Sweden is located at 2900 K Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.
