ACADEMY 2012 – Conner Contemporary Art’s 12th annual invitational survey of outstanding work by MFA/BFA students in the Washington/Baltimore area held its opening reception on Saturday evening, July 7 in Washington, D.C.
EXHIBITION FOUNDER and curator Jamie Smith, Ph.D. invited artists Selin Balci, Elliot Bryant, Aaron Canipe, Misha Capecchi, Josh Chance, Wesley Clark, Jennifer Coster, Zachary Goldman, Toym Imao, Brittany Law, Pablo Garcia Lopez, Ali Miller, Adam Nelson, Nara Park, Alexander Peace, Camden Place, Jason Ressler, Samuel Scharf, Ryan Carr Johnson, Heather Stratton and Ben Tolman to participate. The representing institutions are American University, Corcoran College of Art and Design, George Washington University, Maryland Institute College of Art and University of Maryland.
