The National Press Club in Washington inaugurates Myron Belkind as the club’s 107th president with ‘An International Gala’ celebration

THE 107th president of the National Press Club in Washington, Myron Belkind, was honored at an inauguration party – “An International Gala” – at the club on Saturday evening, Jan. 25. Mr. Belkind is a former foreign correspondent for the Associated Press.

Inauguration Party.NPC.20140127 029.JPGH.E. Ebrahim Rasool, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, gave the evening’s keynote address.

THE EVENT’S MASTER OF CEREMONIES was Gil Klein, 1994 National Press Club President, and the keynote address was given by H.E. Ebrahim Rasool, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa. Additional speakers were Frank Sesno, Director, School of Media and Public Affairs, The George Washington University, and Mark Hamrick, 2011 National Press Club President. Jan Du Plain, Chair, 2014 International Inaugural Committee, gave the closing remarks. The diplomatic corps was well represented at the gala.
